Gan's Story

I moved to the Norwich area from Thailand after getting married in July 2010. I had a good understanding of basic English, but it was not good enough to follow my accounting career in the UK so I came up with the catering idea. I love to cook, I am very proud of Thailand's reputation for good food, I love people to enjoy my food. I have been cooking for my family since the age of 12 all the ingredients for a new career.

University and work meant I lived away from home, eating "street food" every day I watched the street traders work their craft, prepare and cook adjusting the flavours to taste. This all gave me further insight and
learning of Thai food.

I was keen to create a more affordable version of my traditional food in the UK and came
up with ThaiWay, Opened a catering van with a difference in Hoveton, followed by party and event bookings. 

The ThaiWay venues so far have ranged from the smallest dinner party for five holidaymakers in a rented
riverside cottage to the largest so far, 150 curries for a local openair music concert.

The ThaiWay has moved and no longer operates from the catering van opening a Restaurant and Takeaway in the centre of Hoveton.

Opening Hours. Tuesdays - Sundays 4:30pm - 9:00pm. + Thursday & Friday 11:00am - 2:00pm 
Delivery Service available from  4:30pm - 9:00pm  Tuesdays - Sundays
